Editorial policy
Selection and attribution
Omar Report discovers candidate coverage through a news search provider. Automated evaluation considers published editorial criteria, topical relevance, and significance. Meeting a relevance threshold is not an endorsement of any claim within an article.
Headlines link to the original publisher. Each listing attributes the source when that information is available. We aim to group similar reports in Top Stories, but automated grouping is imperfect.
Allegations and evidence
Allegations, investigations, charges, findings, dismissals, and acquittals are different events. An accusation is not proof of wrongdoing. Coverage should distinguish reported claims from verified findings, identify sources, and include meaningful responses and outcomes when available.
AI-assisted summaries
Automated summaries are produced from retrieved article metadata rather than independent investigations. AI may make mistakes. The original article and relevant primary documents are the preferred sources for verification.
Corrections and updates
Articles can be reviewed or reevaluated when editorial rules change. Summaries may become stale when new evidence emerges. Readers should rely on current primary and original-source reporting for developing events.
